


I never owned a DX7 or any hardware FM as when I started in the 90's rompler was the game, so Dexed seems like a good way to get into classic FM synthesis. I too do hear it as a bit gimmicky, but hey, I a compose for film and TV. Yeah, Dexed, the price is right on that and it will give me an opportunity to explore FM synthesis and it seems way more intuitive than FM8. The DX7V also comes with additional waveforms, including all of the ones on the TX81z, however it can't import TX81z sysex files, like FM8 for example.The CX5M is still a very ‘friendly’ system to develop FM sounds on, but DEXED brings it home again to the 21st century.(edit: I apologize for the typos ahead of time as I don't ordinarily spend any time proof reading ) I'd love to have this classic patch in FM7 if anyone's got it.
